We are operating in a time when virtually anything can be connected to the internet, creating a global network of physical devices that are collecting and sharing data – referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT can offer huge benefits for utilities, such as optimizing asset performance, enhancing the customer experience and improving operational efficiency, but integration within current systems and processes can be a challenge.
